Enjoy the great outdoors as you walk along a marked path detailing the making of maple syrup and “tap into spring!” The festival includes demonstrations, wagon rides, kids’ games and activities, twilight tours (separate admission), and of course pancakes and maple syrup. Special family-fun activities on weekends and March Break.
The festival takes place at four conservation areas, each with its own schedule of activities: Bruce’s Mill (Stouffville), Island Lake (Orangeville), Kortright (Woodbridge), Terra Cotta (Halton Hills).
At the Kortright Centre for Conservation there will be wagon rides, face painting, demonstrations from Hands On Exotics, a strolling balloon artist, maple syrup sno-cones, and life-size games. To register for a Maple Syrup by Lamplight tour (March 10, 17, 23, 24), call 416-667-6295 ext.3 or e-mail: email@example.com.
Weekends 9:30–5, weekdays 9:30–3. Admission is $8.85 adults, $5.75 ages 5–14, and free for ages 4 and under; $4 parking fee applies.
