Science Rendezvous

The annual festival that takes science out of the lab and onto the street! In partnership with Canada’s top research institutes, this Canada-wide, one-day open house and festival is free for everyone. More than 300 events across 30 cities and thousands of mind-blowing demonstrations and activities.

At the Toronto event, more than 6,000 of Canada’s greatest innovators, researchers, engineers, and scientists will open their doors and close city streets to present exciting demonstrations, hands-on activities, and explosive experiments. Augmented reality demos, hovercrafts, a five-block street festival in downtown Toronto, and much more.

Events take place at more than a dozen GTA locations. Toronto events at: Ryerson University, University of Toronto St. George Campus, University of Toronto Scarborough Campus, Mount Sinai Hospital, University of Guelph-Humber, George Brown College, Toronto Zoo. GTA events at: the Mississauga Central Library, Durham College (Oshawa), University of Ontario Institute of Technology (Oshawa), University of Guelph, University of Waterloo, STEM Minds (Aurora), York University (Markham).
