Riverdale Farm’s Fall Festival

This community gathering provides a taste of the farming lifestyle. Highlights this year include:

• corn roast – Saturday and Sunday noon–4
• wheelbarrow race – Saturday, 3:30 pm
• corn-shucking contests and hog-calling and chicken-calling contests (Saturday and Sunday noon–1 pm)
• meet the farmer demonstrations with goats (10 am), horses (noon), cows (2 pm), chickens (11 am), pigs (1 pm), and sheep (3 pm)
• face painting and games

Don’t miss the pancake breakfast Sunday 9–11:30 am, which includes two pancakes, two sausages, and coffee/tea/juice. While you’re there, tour the farm’s scenic 7.5 acres along pathways through wooded areas, around ponds, and into butterfly-herb-flower-vegetable gardens.
