Doors Open Toronto

One weekend, once a year – buildings of architectural, historical, cultural, and social significance open their doors to the public for a city-wide celebration. Doors Open Toronto, Canada’s largest Doors Open event, allows visitors free access to properties that are either not usually open to the public, or would normally charge an entrance fee. Many locations have organized guided tours, displays, and activities to enrich the visitor experience. This year, more than 130 buildings across Toronto will open their doors over the May 26 – 27 weekend. There will be a special emphasis on highlighting the city’s film and television industry. Visit historic cinemas, film and television studios, post-production houses, digital media studios, and artist-run centres, as well as buildings that have been featured in film and television.
