125 Years of Slovak Immigration to Canada

This exhibit at the Richmond Hill Heritage Centre discusses the first major wave of Slovak immigrants who came to Canada in the early 1800s as pioneers to work the land, railroads, and mines. They integrated well into Canadian society and many of their descendants became prominent figures in many areas of Canadian life. This exhibit looks at why they left their beloved homeland and the great contributions they made to Canada.

The exhibit is on loan from the Slovak Canadian Heritage Museum through May 18, 2018.

Admission is free. Gallery hours are:

Tuesdays 1–4 pm
Thursdays 4–8 pm
Saturdays 10 am– 4 pm
