Arts in the Parks: Porch View Dances (PVD): Real People Dancing In Real Spaces

This award-winning community dance festival was conceived by internationally acclaimed contemporary dance company, Kaeja d’Dance. PVD engages everyday people as creators, storytellers, and performers – many of whom have never danced before. Audience members travel from house to house to see new dance works created with professional choreographers and performed by local residents and families on the front porches and yards of their own homes.

During the event finale, audience members have the opportunity to become active participants themselves as they are invited to join the Flock Landing – a large participatory ensemble that is 100% accessible to all ages and abilities.
