The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery hosts free arts workshops for children ages 7–12, beginning with a tour of the current exhibition and concluding with an art activity. In this exhibition, Karla Black underlines the importance of a material’s physical qualities, especially its colour and the way it feels. Inspired by Black’s interest in tactile experiences, participants in this workshop will use various materials like felt, plastic and faux fur to tell a story using textures instead of language.
