Best Places to Buy Cute Raincoats and Boots in Toronto

Shopping and Services

With the joys of spring sun and warm weather comes the spring rain. But once you’ve got the right gear for your little puddle jumpers, bring it on!

Here are some of our favourite Toronto stores for stylish and trendy rain gear for kids so you can be prepared before it starts raining cats and dogs.

Hatley

Hatley is a Canadian-owned, family-run brand with storefronts in Toronto and Newmarket, plus online shopping and shipping throughout North America. Their stylish rain gear—umbrellas, boots, splash pants, raincoats—comes in colorful designs and whimsical patterns that are so cute, you’ll be asking if they make them in your size. And in some cases, they do—they have women’s outerwear, too.

For reliable rain gear that keeps kids dry no matter how deep the mud puddle, head to Mountain Equipment Coop. Their styles aren’t always the most fashionable, but they do come out with some cute prints from time to time. And they carry reliable rain-boot brands like Kamik and Stonz.

Joe Fresh

You probably don’t need us to tell you that Joe Fresh carries cute and affordable kid’s clothing. But we’d be remiss not to mention it, since they have such a great selection of boots, splash pants, and raincoats every year. Not all locations carry children’s clothing—in fact, most downtown locations do not. Note that the Queen Street store (at Portland Street) just started carrying children’s clothes!
