The Easter Bunny is on his way, bringing lots of fun activities to Toronto and the GTA! Dye some Easter eggs, go on an egg hunt, attend an Easter festival and meet the Easter Bunny himself this Easter long weekend.

The Easter 2019 long weekend is April 19 (Good Friday) through April 22 (Easter Monday).

There are a couple classic Easter parades not to be missed in Toronto and the GTA.

The Beaches Easter Parade – The Beaches

More than 50,000 spectators attend the parade in The Beaches each year. It first took place in 1967 and has been organized by the Toronto Beaches Lions Club since 1981. Come out to see marching bands, floats, bagpipe troupes, fire trucks, and the Easter Bunny!

Pickering Easter Parade – Pickering

Decorate your bike, wagon, or stroller and join Pickering’s annual Easter parade!

Easter egg hunts, egg decorating, and Easter Bunny meet-and-greets are all on the agenda!

Centreville Easter Eggstravaganza – Toronto Islands

Join Beasley Bear and the Easter Bunny on Centre Island all Easter weekend for an egg hunt, face-painting, a visit to Far Enough Farm and a chance to win prizes from Lindt Gold Bunny, Jelly Belly Candy, and more. New this year is the chance to win tickets to see Pokémon: Detective Pikachu in theatres.

Easter Egg Workshops for Families – East York

Learn the art of pysanky, or Ukrainian Easter egg dyeing, using wax-resist techniques at this workshop for kids ages 8 and up at Todmorden Mills. Pre-registration required.

Easter Hop-penings – Stouffville

Hop over to the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum for an Easter egg hunt and to decorate Easter-themed cookies and create a work of art.

Eggceptional Easter Fun – Newmarket

The Elman W. Campbell Museum in Newmarket hosts an “egg-citing” afternoon with the Easter Bunny, Easter crafts and games, activities, and egg decorating. Pre-registration required.

Family-Friendly Easter Brunches

Brunch is an Easter tradition for many families. Here are a few places in Toronto hosting kid-friendly brunches. (High chairs? Boosters? Extra napkins? Check, check, check!) Some are even welcoming a visit from the Easter Bunny. Reservations are a must for all Easter brunches.

Easterfest at Downey’s Farm – Caledon

Head to Downey’s Farm in the Halton Region for a fun-filled day of wagon rides, farm animals, magic show, puppet show, face painting, crafts, and an Easter egg scramble where kids collect eggs for treats.

Brooks Farms Easter Festival – East Gwillimbury

Along with the Easter Egg Hunt, kids can meet and greet the Easter Bunny and enjoy wagon and train rides, an animated singing chicken and fox show, bunny face painting, live music, and the barnyard playland at this year’s Easter Festival. Brooks Farms is a short drive from Newmarket.
