Looking for a camp that’ll pique your child’s interest this March Break? Below is an amazing assembly of camps happening all across Toronto for the week of March Break (March 13–17) this year. Your kids will be sure to have fun, learn something, go exploring, or maybe bring home an exciting project.

All camps included are full-day for the entire week of March Break; some have extended hours available before and after camp. Some camps offer meal plans and bus pick-up/drop-off for an additional fee.

Dance, Dance, Dance

Perfect for children who love to move! At the Harbourfront Centre, this dance camp will be led by an artist instructor plus skilled staff who help campers explore different forms of dance. This camp will help boost confidence, coordination, and stage presence. A special recital takes place at the end of the week.

Comic Book Camp

This is for the comic and graphic novel enthusiasts in the family! Campers will have the chance to bring their stories to life with the help of artist educators, while exploring narrative and artist concepts.

Camp location: Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queen’s Quay W.

Toronto Circus Camp

A full week of circus fun. You’ll be amazed at what children can achieve in this immersive week of circus taught by professional circus artists. Aerial trapeze, hoop, rope and silks as well as juggling, floor and partner acrobatics and clowning. Indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting). Parents are invited to a circus show at the end of the week.

Camp location: Leaside United Church, 822 Millwood Rd.
Ages: 4½–13 (kids are grouped by age)
 

Film FUN-damentals

Do you have a child interested in learning about the filmmaking process? In this TIFF program, campers will learn about live-action filmmaking, stop-motion animation, Foley, and special effects makeup. The campers will also get a chance to visit digiPlaySpace.

Improv Games Camp

Kids will learn to think on their feet and unleash spontaneity, all while being a team player with fun improv games at The Second City. This program is great for accessing creativity, and boosting confidence and playfulness.

Ages: Grades 2–4, 5–8, 9–12
 

Acrylic Painting Camp

This is a great class for kids who love to paint. It’ll let them explore their imaginations and trust their creative instincts. They’ll be introduced to painting fundamentals and techniques, including texture, shading, line, pattern, highlighting, and colour perspective.

Ages: Grades 3–6 and 6–9

Drama Camp

Is your child interested in the performing arts? Then sign them up for drama camp! The week will consist of creating a theatrical presentation for family and friends; the kids will get to choose themes and content that excites them. They’ll also learn about theatre production and creation. This will be an immersive experience where children will get to act, write, design their costumes, dance, and sing.

Ages: 6–12
 

ROM March Break Camp

Get creative with science! Art projects and science experiments, gallery exploration, and outdoor walks (weather permitting) will keep kids engaged all March Break at the ROM. There will be professional instructors, lunch is provided, and there are half-day options if needed.

Camp location: Royal Ontario Museum, 100 Queen’s Park
Ages: 5–14
 

Robot Theme Park Camp

One of STEAMLabs’ super-cool tech-meets-design programs is this camp where kids work together in groups of three to four to make a miniature robotic model theme park with working carousel, roller coaster, or whatever they dream up! They’ll learn elements of electronics 2D and 3D design, laser cutting, 3D printing, and Arduino robotics.
