The kids just got back to school, and already their first PA day is coming up. Don’t scramble to find a babysitter or worry about hearing them moan about being bored. And don’t let them lose the momentum of learning. PA day camps exist for every interest.

Here are a diverse assortment of PA day camps west of Yonge Street. Note that most camps offer extended care before and/or after camp hours, for an additional fee.

TDSB and TCDSB PA days for fall are October 6, November 17, and December 1.

4Cats

4Cats invites your kids to paint, draw, sculpt and create during their PA day workshops.

Articulations

This Junction-area art store offers a full-day camp with an art lesson and outdoor time for fall PA days. Fall Landscapes in Acrylic Paint, Clay Sculpture Self Portraits, and Printmaking are on the roster.

Charb Arts

Kids can enjoy dance workshops, arts and crafts, music, and games in the Charb Arts studios. Campers can choose their own activities and get involved in fun group projects.

Cirque-ability

With a day of aerial and acrobatics, kids can learn new skills, improve their fitness, and make friends. PA day camps incorporate an aerial and Acro circuit and might also include mini-trampoline, improv games, art, music, yoga, performance skills, aerial silks, trapeze, and more.

Gibson House Museum

This historic Toronto house hosts themed PA day camps. For October 6, kids can choose from Heritage Gardeners, where they work in the 1850s-inspired garden and bake treats in the heritage kitchen; Scottish Adventure, which involves crafts and making Scottish-inspired food; and Curious Crafters, which focuses on crafting and baking.

Aspiring coders will learn at their own pace, building JavaScript programs, creating projects in art and design, and more. The full-day PA day program is actually a series of four 90-minute classes of your choice.

High Park Nature Centre

For the first time, the High Park Nature Centre is offering PA day camps! Kids will make crafts, learn about nature, and explore the outdoors.

Just Bounce

As you’d expect, Just Bounce offers plenty of trampolining at its PA day camps. But kids also take part in circus activities, arts and crafts, and indoor and outdoor games.

The ROM

The Royal Ontario Museum, with its dinosaur skeletons, mummies, and animal exhibits, is always a good time, but imagine it without parents! Art projects, science experiments, and exploring the galleries fill the day for kids.

Steamlabs

Halloween mask making is the theme of Steamlabs’ October 6 PA day camp. This is no ordinary craft project: your crafty creator will be guided through designing in Adobe Illustrator, using a laser cutter and adding LEDs to bring their masks to life! In November it’s a robotic room-sign-making project and in December it’s light-up LED ornaments.

True North Climbing

Kids can spend their PA day rock climbing, crafting, on the slackline, and playing a variety of indoor games and sport. Just request a PA day camp with a week or more notice, for 2 or more kids, and True North Climbing will arrange it.
