Earlier this week, we explored PA day options on the west side of the city. For those east of Yonge Street, there are just as many fun options for the the first PA day of the school year in Toronto. From Lego to fort-building, reptiles to robotics, and everything in between, PA day camps offer a a fun, creative day for your child’s day off.

Fall PA days for TDSB and TCDSB kids are October 6, November 17, and December 1.

Note that many camps offer extended care before and/or after camp hours, for an additional fee.

4Cats – The Beaches

Appropriately for October, 4Cats’ first PA day camp offers the option of a Monsters vs. Zombies or a Halloween mixed-media workshop.

Art Cave

Kids create art projects in various mediums and using different methods. Led by the imagination of the children, Art Cave’s program also includes healthy snacks and outdoor activities.

Bamboobay

A day filled with art, crafting, and Lego-building with Lego masters is offered at Bamboobay art-and-music school.

Bricks4Kidz

Robotics and Minecraft are the focus of Bricks4Kidz’s PA day camps, using Lego’s We-Do drag-and-drop software and building Minecraft items out of Lego bricks.

The Circus Academy

Kids learn basic circus skills, including juggling, tumbling, closing, and aerial acrobatics. And they can watch movies on the big screen during lunchtime.

Evergreen Brick Works

Kids can explore the greener side of the city in Adventure Camp or connect to the outdoors and explore the world by mountain bike in Bike Ventures Camp at Evergreen Brick Works.

Leslieville School of Dance

The dance school’s Monarch Arts Camps runs PA day camps all year, with instruction in music, art, dance, and yoga. They offer a 10% sibling discount.

All materials, clay, firing, and a snack are included in Luc Sculpture’s PA day camp. Kids will engage in four artistic activities throughout the day, and the camp can also be taught in French.

Monarch Park Stadium

Monarch Park Stadium provides a PA day camp program with sports, games, and activities, off-site excursions, and a pizza lunch. They also offer camp for French School students, for the PA day on October 20.

Get hands-on with non-traditional pets (think birds, reptiles, and chinchillas) at these unique PA day camps. Young People’s Theatre

The “Play in a Day” PA day camp allows kids to take part in drama exercises and collaborate to create a play that will be presented to caregivers at day’s end.
