Event Details

At Rouge National Urban Park, join a celebration of the arts, culture, knowledge, and histories of the traditional peoples who share a historical connection to the Rouge. Enjoy a day of indigenous art, cultural performances, workshops and more.

Highlights include:

  • creations and designs of indigenous artists and vendors
  • traditional live dance performance and a First Nations song and dance group workshop (on-site, first-come, first-served registration)
  • an educational sharing circle presentation on the lasting impact of residential schools
  • book drop to support community libraries in remote indigenous communities (donations encouraged!)
  • Two Row Wampum Treaty workshop hosted by a Six Nations artist
  • Parks Canada airbrush tattoo for kids

There is no ATM, so do bring cash if you are interested in purchasing from vendors.
