About Toronto Botanical Garden

Spend the day wandering through 17 themed gardens including formal terraces and courtyards, creative carpet beds, a kitchen and herb garden with a bee hotel, a knot garden, pollinator garden, and a woodland walk and bird habitat. Other features include Toronto’s first straw bale shed with its growing green roof.

Children learn about nature and gardening through hands-on activities in the Teaching Garden. There are actually a series of demonstration gardens here, and the path is marked with dinosaur foot prints. Kids plant, cultivate and sow vegetables, which are donated to the North York Harvest Food Bank when they are harvested. Unique features include the stegosaurus in the Dinosaur Garden and the giant butterfly sundial in the Spiral Butterfly Garden.
