About Envision Robotics

Envision Robotics offers hands-on STEM-based classes (robotics, Arduino and 3D printing and design) and camps for kids 5 to 13, as well as robotics in the classroom. A typical class starts with a problem to solve, followed by hands-on experience either building or programming a robot to solve the challenge. Kids learn programming and robotic concepts while developing problem-solving, critical-thinking and collaboration skills. Small calls sizes (capped at 6 students) ensures each child gets support to learn and succeed. They will also come to schools to provide robotics in the classroom.

Programs

  • Adventurer I (age 5 to 8) and Adventurer II (9 to 13) programs consist of six levels with eight classes in each level. Younger students are introduced to Design Theory Process as a method to think through and solve course challenges plus real world problems they identify themselves. The older students (Adventurer II) learn about robotic components and get hands on coding experience which culminates  with an individual project where they code their robot to achieve a challenge.
  • Envision’s Arduino course, where kids will dive into programming and engineering using the Arduino microcontroller. Arduino is an open-source platform used for building electronics projects
  • A drop-in program is also available to kids aged 6 to 15 to use one of Envision’s platforms to build and program a robot. Staff is available to provide building guidelines based on the type of robot desired.
  • 3D Design and 3D Printing for Kids will teach your child must-have skills for the future. Students will take home a 3D printed project.

PA Day, March Break and Summer Camp

  • At Envision’s all-day PA Day camps, students work individually on projects as well as participate in group activities and games.
  • March break camps for two age groups (5 to 8 and 9 to 13). The younger group will work on a robot every day and will learn to create programs using a drag-and-drop interace. Older kids will learn about 3D printing.
  • Summer camps are also divided by age group (5-8 years and 9-13). Students will learn the fundamentals of 3D projects and will print several projects they can take home. They will also learn to use Tinkercad (CAD) design software to construct their designs. Weather permitting they will also arrange outdoor activities.
