About Canadian Children’s Opera Company

The permanent children’s chorus for the Canadian Opera Company, the CCOC is a world-class ensemble that introduces opera to children and youth through professional musical and dramatic education and the performance of established and newly commissioned operatic and choral repertoire.

The CCOC has six choruses, beginning with the Butterfly Chorus for ages 3–4 up through the Youth Chorus for ages 16 and up. Choruses rehearse at St. Clair and Avenue Road.

In addition to concerts by all choruses, the Youth Chorus performs in various professional concerts with the Canadian Opera Company, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at Roy Thomson Hall, Canadian Tenors, Luminato, sporting events, and more. The CCOC maintains a performance calendar online.
