Build a Recycling Video Game for Earth Day

Celebrate Earth Day by building your own Recycle Challenge video game in Scratch, a drag-and-drop block code platform developed specifically to help kids learn to program.

The free workshop incorporates challenges and a score system while taking Climate Action (goal #13 in the UN’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development).

This workshop is offered by Kids Code Jeunesse. KCJ is dedicated to support the UN’s Global Goals through #kids2030, an initiative to educate over 1,000,000 kids and 50,000 educators on AI and ethics, and on using technology to achieve the UN’s Global Goals by the year 2030.

Details:

  • for ages 8–12 (ages 6–8 welcome with a parent to assist)
  • beginner-friendly / no coding experience needed
  • workshop is 2 hours long
  • reserve a spot – only 8 spots available for each session
  • internet-connected laptop/computer required (no tablets)
