About Toronto Tool Library and Makerspace

The Toronto Tool Library hosts maker workshops for kids and teens in partnership with SteamLabs. Themes include 3D printing, robot building, arts and crafts, and more.

The youth workshops are a safe, community-minded and accessible space where young makers can develop their ideas, work collaboratively and gain confidence as makers. Youth instructors are trained professionals, who assist makers with safe tool-use and in completing group projects.

The Toronto Tool Library is a membership-based lending library for thousands of tools, for DIY repairs, home renovations, gardening, and more. Annual memberships start at $55/year.

The Toronto Tool Library has three locations. This Spadina location is both a tool-lending library and “makerspace”, where the majority of kids’ workshops are held. Two other locations—in Parkdale and on St. Clair West—are open to members, with tools to lend and share.
