Taste of the Middle East

Come down to Yonge Dundas Square on Saturday July 27, 2019 and travel to a Souk in the Middle East for one day. A Souk is a traditional market or bazaar in the Middle East.

Learn what a Jalab is or how Turkish coffee is made. Try a sip of Arak or take a bite of a manooshe. Purchase handmade jewellery or a vibrant piece of art. Tired yet? Take a little break and stop by our coffee cup reading tent to get some traditional fortune telling done!

Appreciate the vibrant art, music and dance that will surround you as you expand your palate and taste the 1001 flavours that the Middle Eastern culture has to offer while giving back to the largest food rescue charity in Canada, Second Harvest (our charity partner for the 2nd year).
