Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Barrie, the Spring Tonic​ Maple Syrup Festival​ at the Tiffin Centre for Conservation is a tradition spanning more than three decades.

Visitors will take a trip back in time to explore how First Nations people and Pioneers made maple syrup. After that, they will return to current times and see how maple syrup is made today! After that, have a taste of Tiffin’s own maple syrup on pancakes and sausages. Prices are included in admission fees.

With a full belly, join in our other activities:

• Hop on horse-drawn wagon rides.
• Learn about exotic animals at the Zoo to You animal show. You can pet them too!
• Be creative and make nature crafts.
• Dance to old-time fiddlers music.
• Build your own bird box to take home ($10 which includes a bird identification sheet).
• Say hello to local firefighters and climb onto fire trucks.
• Visit cadets from CFB Borden. They will be showcasing their outdoor survival preparedness with an extensive winter-camp display​.
• Hike through Tiffin Conservation Area’s scenic trails open, with long and short paths, for hikers of all abilities.​
• Stock up on maple syrup products (maple syrup made at Tiffin is available in limited quantities).

Brea​kfast will be served until 2 pm.

Admission includes all activities listed above, except for bird box building.

The Tiffin Centre for Conservation is 10 minutes west of Barrie and 4 km south of Highway 90.​
