Event Details

This event finished on 30 March 2020

Winter Stations, the international design competition, is back for its sixth year to animate Toronto’s Beaches with design during the winter months.

Visit Woodbine Beach from February 17 through March 30 to see this year’s winning art instalations, selected from more than 273 submissions from artists around the world.

Exhibits include:

Mirage by Cristina Vega and Pablo Losa Fontangordo
Kaleidoscope of the Senses by Charlie Sutherland of SUHUHA
Noodle Feed by iheartblob
The Beach’s Percussion Ensemble (Centennial College)

The theme for Winter Stations sixth anniversary is Beyond the Five Senses. Designers were asked to explore how our senses interact and overlap to provide us with a picture of our environment and how we interact with it, demonstrating our subjective relationship to reality or displaying a distorted one.
