Victoria Day 2016: Fun With Kids in Toronto and the GTA

Victoria Day is coming up soon, so now is the time to make sure you’ve got lots of fun activities planned for you and the kids. Even though many businesses are closed on Monday, May 23, Toronto and the GTA have tons of great events happening all weekend, from fireworks and festivals, to theatre and a circus; there is something fun for everyone!

Check out the list we put together below, to help get you on the path to celebrating our British roots, the warmer weather, and a day off work and school!

VICTORIA DAY EVENTS

Victoria Day Weekend with the Ultimutts – FREE

Bring your family and furry friends for a weekend of free fun with the Ultimutts. Watch these 4-legged stars as they show off some incredible tricks, including tightrope walking, handstands, skateboarding, scooters, piano playing, and basketball slam-dunking!

Milton Boomfest 2016

Join the fun at the Milton Fairgrounds! The long-weekend festival features a great midway, a fantastic selection of food, vendors, entertainment, and two amazing nights of fireworks!

May Long Weekend at Blue Mountain

Experience warm weather fun at Blue Mountain. Enjoy fireworks, face painting, a village scavenger hunt, live music, and more!

Victoria Day at Canada’s Wonderland

Spend a fun-filled day enjoying all the awesome rides, coasters and attractions, and then finish your day with an action-packed fireworks display (complete with original soundtrack) over Wonder Mountain.

Victoria Day Tea and Tour at Montgomery’s Inn

Celebrate Victoria Day with an afternoon tea fit for a queen. All ages are welcome to participate in this unique event. And don’t forget to take a tour of the Inn afterwards!

Community Fireworks at King’s Community Church – FREE

Just bring your fireworks and the staff will take care of the rest! Don’t miss out on an explosion of a fun time, and remember to bring your lawn chairs and blankets!

Victoria Day at Fort York

Celebrate Victoria Day by visiting the birthplace of Toronto. Enjoy activities such as soldier’s drill, see demonstrations of Georgian-era cooking techniques in one of the oldest kitchens in Toronto, take part in English country dancing, and tour the Fort.

Fireworks at Ashbridges Bay Park – FREE

Come see Toronto’s only Victoria Day fireworks show! Pack your blanket or lawn chair and head to the 14-minute annual lakeside fireworks display, which will be happening rain or shine.
