About COPA For Kids

This free aviation program for kids introduces Canadian youth to the world of aviation and gives them practical hands-on experience in the cockpit of a real aircraft with a COPA member pilot. Kids and youth ages 8–17 can sign up to take part in the approximately 2-hour experience that includes a chance to see a working aircraft up close on the ground, a short ground-school session, and an instructional one-on-one 20- to 45-minute flight in the front seat (if possible) of an aircraft. Parents or guardians may accompany the participant in the aircraft in some cases.

More than 23,000 Canadian youth have participated in this free program!

COPA is the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association, which provides a unified voice for general aviation in Canada and represents 16,000 members in every province and territory. The COPA For Kids program is made possible by sponsor AIG Canada, by COPA volunteer pilots, and by Hangaaar online ground school for pilots.
