Pop in with the kids during this March Break for activities and crafts themed around one of the oldest illegal practices in the world: counterfeiting. See the real money, see the fake money and discover the anti-counterfeiting features that keep our bank notes secure.

Real or Fake?
Play a card game and guess which object is authentic and which is counterfeit. It may be coins—or it may be things that used to be alive!

A Counterfeit Scavenger Hunt
Join a quest to find items to do with counterfeiting. Some are real, some are fake—and others are things counterfeiters found simply irresistible. For the entire family.

March 7–8

Talk to an RCMP Expert
An anti-counterfeiting expert from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be on hand to show you some real-life modern counterfeit notes and teach you how to spot one yourself.

March 14–15
11 am–4 pm

Talk to a Bank of Canada Currency Expert
An expert from the Bank’s Currency team will be on hand to show you some real-life modern counterfeit notes and give you a quick lesson on spotting them yourself.
