The New Toronto Co-operative Nursery School

Founded in 1973, the New Toronto Co-operative Nursery School is a parent-run, non-profit preschool in Etobicoke’s New Toronto area, for ages 2½–4. It has morning programs two, three, or five days a week and teacher-to-child ratio of 1:8.

It has two ECEs and, as a cooperative non-profit, relies on parent involvement to keep costs affordable, ensure the quality of the program, and benefit children. Parents contribute in areas of administration, planning, fundraising, and volunteering.
