Tracie Wagman is a superwoman. She really is. She's one of the two energetic women behind Help! We've Got Kids. Come and find out more about this superwoman in this interview.

 

 

Tracie Wagman is one of the two energetic co-owners of Help We’ve Got Kids. As a busy mother of two, Tracie gets how hard it is to balance work with home life. She’s passionate about the environment and about helping families have better lives. In the past, Tracie worked in both retail and telecom, most recently as co-President of Pistachio, and before that at Bell Canada. Tracie was also the Vice-President of the board at Yorktown Family Services, is actively involved with the G(irls) 20 Summit, Environmental Defence Fund, and has recently joined the board of Canopy.

Besides family or work, what are you most passionate about?

I’m very passionate about helping out non profit organization to make a difference in this world. I work with places that help kids, girls and women as well as the environment. 

 

If you had your personal motto printed on a t-shirt, what would it say?

Get a move on,

 

What is one piece of helpful advice you can give to other mothers?

Two pieces of advice: Give yourself a break (you are a great mother) AND don’t have any expectations of other people,

 

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I’d spend all my time doing philanthropy,

 

Tell us about one of your hidden talents.

I’m a speed reader.

 

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I read a book a week (if not more). Not that much of a surprise considering my last answer!

 

Describe the perfect day.

Sleep in (past my usual 5 am early bird wake up), get up and read outside in the warm weather while my kids play nearby.

 

Ok, fess up….what is your guilty pleasure?

FRENCH FRIES!

 

List five things you would need to survive, if stranded on a deserted island.

My family, coffee, my iphone, a couple of great books (obviously there will be an internet connection…)

 

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Fun, loyal, passionate OR as my 9 year old daughter just said when I asked her: helpful, smart, attentive (note to self: raise this child’s allowance).
