A Little Island, Full of Comics

Hype

When we were little, we read comic books under the blanket with our flashlight. Our younger brother was nearby in case it got too scary (and as a lookout since mom and dad didn’t wholly approve).

Times have changed.

Little Island Comic Books is a haven for our young, early-readers. The store has well-trained staff, able to field questions and help customers (of all ages) make the perfect selection.

The store is small but cheery (much like their main customers), with a wide selection of story books ($8-$25) and single issue comics ($1-$3). They have comic books on World War II, and ones that illustrate Shakespeare’s plays. Of course Batman and Spiderman are there, toned down for our sensitive littles.

Our wee ones can’t quite read yet, but they are learning to love the written word via comic books, and we don’t expect them to hide them under the covers.
