At this time of year, Christmas lights displays can be found around the globe. In fact, they’re so prevalent, NASA can see them from space.

Back by popular demand, after last year’s collection of over-the-top Christmas lights displays, is the 2014 edition of extreme Christmas lights!

Frozen Invades the Block

Every year, the McNabs in Dagenham, Essex (UK), concoct an impressive light display. But this year they outdid themselves, convincing all their neighbours to get in on the fun in a huge display that took 15,000 lights and nearly one month to complete.

Down Under Record-Breaker

More than 1.2 million lights were used to create this display in a Canberra, Australia, shopping centre. For the record, it broke a world record.

A music teacher is behind this amazing house display in Newark. Tune in for his renditions of “Let It Go” from Frozen ” and Straight No Chaser’s “The Christmas Can-Can” too.

Not Ready to “Let It Go”

Another Frozen display that cannot go unmentioned is the 2014 instalment of the annual Larsen Christmas Light Show by a Chicago-based landscaping company. This year’s display required around 1 million (!) lights and work began in August and was completed in mid-November.

El Paso Annual Christmas Light Show

Tens of thousands come to watch the annual lighting displays created by Fred Loya, a businessman in El Paso. They are simply incredible. For 2014, the display uses a whopping 450,000 lights. Our jaws have officially dropped!
