Masks are becoming a requirement in most municipalities across Ontario for anyone over the age of 2 or 3. Getting a kid to wear a mask when you are indoors or unable to physically distance is a huge undertaking—honestly, I’d rather wrestle a wet raccoon into a diaper.
But it is necessary and is a bylaw depending on where you live. So getting kids on board with masks is another task that we parents have to undertake.
Thankfully, there are some amazing mask designers out there who are creating fun masks sized perfectly for kids. I recommend letting your kids help pick out their masks—if they are into the pattern or colours that are used, they might be more likely to opt into wearing their mask when needed.

House Of Jimbo
BC-based House of Jimbo creates amazingly fun masks with fabrics featuring cats, dogs, outer space, superheroes, and more. The site says that their extra-small masks will fit toddlers, and the small fits kids. They also have a sizing chart where you can compare your kid’s measurements to ensure you get the best size.
Katrin Leblond
This Montreal designer has created reversible masks for kids. They are sold in bundles of 4 and you can mix and match sizes, which is a great option if you have more than one kid!
