Canada’s largest botanical garden, the RGB is a National Historic Site dedicated to bringing together people, plants, and nature. On more than 1,1000 hectares in the Niagara Escarpment, the RGB has four formal gardens, an indoor Mediterranean Garden, and 27 km of nature trails.
Family-friendly events and exhibits are frequently scheduled at the RGB. On any given day, you might find a kids’ festival, educational nature workshops for children, storytimes, and exhibitions geared toward children. The annual Holiday Traditions at the Royal Botanical Gardens is especially popular and includes visits with Santa, brunch with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a train exhibit, and live entertainment.
Admission is free for children under age 4 and family discounts and memberships are available.
Royal Botanical Gardens Day Camps
The RGB has summer camps, winter camps, and March break camps for kids. These hands-on programs include daily immersion in nature with hikes, games, crafts, activities, and more.
